The donation, in partnership with Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org, will help teachers purchase classroom supplies ahead of the 2026–27 school year.
As teachers begin preparing for the 2026–27 school year, Stehlik Elementary School educators are getting a head start on creating engaging learning environments thanks to a $5,000 donation from Burlington through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org.
The donation was announced during the July 3 ribbon-cutting celebration for the new Burlington store at 10311 Highway 45 North in Houston. Stehlik Principal Dora A. Garza and several teachers attended the event, which connected the store’s grand opening with a direct investment in local classrooms.
The funds will be distributed through AdoptAClassroom.org accounts, allowing teachers to purchase classroom supplies through the organization’s online vendor marketplace based on their students’ unique needs.
“At Stehlik, we believe every child deserves a learning environment that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning,” said Garza. “Every resource we place in our teachers’ hands creates new opportunities for students to explore, discover, and achieve. We are incredibly grateful to Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for investing in our campus and believing in our students. Their generosity helps us continue building classrooms where innovation thrives, every child feels valued, and all students have the tools they need to succeed.”
Teachers across Aldine ISD are preparing classrooms for the first day of school, and the additional funding will provide Stehlik educators with the flexibility to purchase supplies tailored to their students’ individual learning needs.

Since 2017, Burlington’s partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org has raised more than $15.5 million to provide essential classroom resources, supporting nearly 44,000 classrooms and benefiting more than 1.5 million students across the United States.
As teachers prepare to welcome students back for the upcoming school year, the donation serves as a reminder that the Aldine community is investing alongside them. One new store opened its doors, and in celebration, Stehlik classrooms will soon open theirs with new resources and new possibilities.
